Changes to Club Meetings Over Christmas and New Year

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

All members who are going to the above show on Tuesday 16th January 2007 please note that the bus will leave the Shore Road Car Park at 4.15pm prompt.  We have arranged a 2 course meal plus coffee at Giulianos prior to the show.  The cost of the meal is £16 including service charge and this will be collected on the bus while we travel through to Edinburgh.   This will save a lot of hassle at the restaurant but you will be responsible for paying for any drinks that you may have with your meal.  Your theatre tickets will be issued to you on the bus.

Please note that due to the closure of the Royal George Hotel during part of the Christmas/New Year period, the Club meeting on Wed. 27 December will go ahead, but will be at      Dewar’s Centre.

The visit by the Children from Belarus will still take place, and entertainment will be by Ian Anderson on accordion.

THERE WILL BE NO MEETING ON WEDNESDAY 3 JANUARY.

A Christmas Story

The Perthshire Challenge Is Alive And Well

Did you see that Perth and Kinross Council have given £20000 to help stage a major cycling event in Highland Perthshire on a Sunday in June 2007? Not our event, unfortunately. That said, the Club has been in touch with the commercial outfit running the alternative event, and a very nice chap, originally from Pitlochry, wished us well and assured us that their as yet unannounced date will not clash with ours. With that out of the way, he was invited to lead a team in our Challenge. For latest updates, see Page 3.
