Club Family Barbecue

Rain clouds clear just in time

After some rain in the morning the sun appeared right on cue for the Rotary Club Family Barbecue.  Members and friends enjoyed a sunny afternoon out at Findo Gask.   A Nature Treasure Hunt arranged by Maureen was the first task and the flora and fauna around Gask Hall took a fair old beating as folk collected everything from a clover leaf to a bird’s feather.  Stuart,  Sally and Ian Mutch worked manfully on the barbecue and did their best to get the steaks done to everyone’s taste.  PP George served some delicious wines, with Juice for the children.  Janette’s sweets went down a treat especially her fruit crumble.   With appetites satisfied and thirst quenched it was time for the races, in which old and young participated with great gusto.  We even had a founder member featuring in the Wheel Barrow Race.   Well done Ian!.  It was all rounded off with a mixed Tug of War tournament where the competition was fierce.  The Fraser Bruce Team the eventual winners.
